DELIVERANCE OF THE LORD!
Stella Dhinakaran
Dearly beloved,
Trials and tribulations may come; but be assured that our loving Lord Jesus will not forsake you even amidst all these trials and tribulations. He will surely help you. You need not be afraid when Jesus is with you to guide you and help you in all circumstances.
Do not be weary of trials and tribulations. We read from the lives of many men of God in the Bible, especially in the Old Testament, that in this world we will have tribulation. Look at Abraham. He was a man, who walked with God. But, at the state wherein he had no child, how his faith was disturbed! Look at David. He held on to the Lord since his childhood. Many were the tribulations that they faced in their life!
Thus, when tribulation or affliction comes, we tend to question, Why these afflictions? But the Lord Jesus assures us in John 16:33,
In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
Jesus Himself went through the path of tribulations in His life. He too passed through various kinds of tribulations such as the envy of the wicked men, hypocritical words, deceit etc and so He very well knows the agony of the tribulation you are undergoing now. But when you pass through such agonizing path of affliction, learn to trust in His power. No trials and tribulations last forever when God has promised us deliverance. God also assures in Psalm 34:19 that He will deliver the righteous from all afflictions. Wait for the deliverance of the Lord and count on His promises. It will surely come to pass in your life!
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I thank and praise You that You have already conquered the trials of this world through Your death on the Cross. I place my complete faith in You and trust in Your mighty power. Please set me free from my suffering, sickness and solitude. Encourage me to remain steadfast in my faith at all times. I thank You for You have assured to deliver me from all my tribulations. Let my unwavering faith in You bring me victory.
In Your most matchless name I pray.
Amen.
