GOD BLESSES THE GIVER!
Stella Dhinakaran
My dearly Beloved
How many times do we hear ministers saying, It is more blessed to give than receive? The word give itself makes us twitch within ourselves, especially, when we know we have a financial need that needs to be met urgently. However, the Bible, though old, has the principles of God in it which are for our welfare. It only makes us fare well in life.
The Lord in the Bible verse of Jeremiah 17:10 says, "I, the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve. According to the above Scripture verses, when we give wholeheartedly to God, He looks at our hearts. He knows our intentions as we give our offerings to Him.
The Bible recounts the story of the poor widow who put in an offering of two small copper coins, which is all she had. And who was watching this act of hers? Jesus Himself, and He said this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on (Luke 21:1-4). This word coming from Jesus is mighty. How blessed can one be when you are noticed and acknowledged by the Lord?
The same happened to a family who put in the little they had as an offering for Gods kingdom work. The Lord in return blessed them with a land through an uncle of theirs. Whenever you give to the Lord, give with all your heart. When you do that, the Lord who sees your faithfulness, will certainly bless you in an abundant measure. He will do great and unsearchable things which you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3).
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
Thank You for all the benefits You have bestowed on me. Father, put in me a grateful heart. Give me the grace to honor You with my possessions. Help me to give wholeheartedly. Father I believe what I do for You will never go unnoticed and you will reward me abundantly for my faithfulness. Lord, You alone can bless me with abundance and prosperity. Thank You Master!
In Jesus name,
Amen.
