GOD GUIDES YOU
Stella Dhinakaran
Dearly beloved,
We are called to enjoy the experience of dwelling in the secret place of the Almighty God, the Most High, by having our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as our Shepherd. He shall cover you under His mighty wings when you plead, Lord, keep me under the shadow of Your wings. Cover me with Your feathers and keep me away from all harm and danger. He shall also grant you His goodness and mercy.
In Exodus 1:15-21, we read that the Israelites multiplied in Egypt, so Pharaoh planned to kill all the Hebrew boy babies the moment they were born. Shiphrah and Puah were the two women who served as midwives for the Hebrew women. Pharaoh called them and asked them to put to death the boy babies when they helped the Hebrew women in childbirth. They also agreed.
In that critical juncture, the midwives knew well that if they disobeyed the king they would be put to death, but still as they feared God they saved the boy babies. Hence the king summoned both the midwives and asked them, Why have you done this? Why have you let the boys live? Both of them, filled with the divine wisdom of God, replied, Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women. They are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive. Since the midwives feared God, the Lord was gracious towards them and gave them families of their own. The Israelites increased and became even more numerous. In the same way, when we face adverse situations, the Lord gives us His enormous wisdom and saves us.
The Lord will protect and bless all those who take refuge in Him (Psalm 41:2; 56:9). When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him (Proverbs 16:7). He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a Shield to those who walk uprightly (Proverbs 2:7).
The Bible says, "Those who are Christs have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires (Galatians 5:24). According to this verse, when you live your life in submission to God, He shall certainly grant you His divine guidance in all situations. He will bless you and lift you up in life. He will never forsake you.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
Help me to fear You always because the Bible says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. In You are hidden the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Please fill me with Your wisdom and knowledge that I may be blessed and also be a source of blessing for others. May Your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life.
In Your matchless name I pray,
Amen.
