HE BREAKS OPEN THE GATE!
Paul Dhinakaran
My dearly Beloved
We call it chivalry when men open the door for women as an act of respect. One feels great and important. But when a door is slammed shut on you, it is such an insult. When you try to open it, it does not budge, not even an inch. A sense of defeat starts sweeping all over you and then you are on the verge of giving up. But there is One man who can break through for you. Jesus is His name. However, there are instructions to follow.
In the Bible, Jesus tells us, "(My children) If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me." The path in which Jesus Christ had walked before us is the path of the cross. He faced rebuke, humiliation, rejection, curses, mockery, whiplashes and His face was marred beyond recognition for you and for me. Such was the torture and even more painful was the crown of thorns in his head and nails driven right through the nerves in His hands and feet. He was badly bruised. There was no one to assist or comfort Him. He hung on the cross all alone. He also lost the precious presence of His Father. He cried aloud, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?" (Matt. 27:46).
His death conquered the grave and His resurrection the keys of Hell and His blood the sins all mankind. He gave victory to the human race. Why then do we walk with our heads hung down in defeat? One look at the work done on the cross suffices for a lifetime for us to walk with a humbled heart and with heads held high in joy and prosperity.
Prayer
Loving heavenly Father
I thank You for the cross and what You did for me to break through the strongholds of the devil in my life. Thank You for this victory. Father, forgive me for walking in defeat when You have already won this victory for me. Lord today, I surrender to You and ask You to fill me with Your Holy Spirit to walk a victorious life on this Earth. Thank You for being there for me and understanding me. Lord, I bless You and thank You for opening my eyes to the truth!
In Jesus name
Amen!
