HOPE IN GOD!
Paul Dhinakaran
I greet you in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray for the Lords choicest blessings upon you and your family.
In the Bible, we read about a king called Sennacherib. He was a mighty man of valor ruling Assyria. Capturing the fortified cities of Judah, he directs a question towards Hezekiah, through his representative Rabshakeh.
What confidence is this in which you trust? (2 Kings 18:19).
In your moment of helplessness, your heart may be asking you, What are you basing this confidence on? When Job, the man of God lost everything his oxen, donkeys, camels, servants, sons and daughters and was afflicted with painful boils, his wife told him, Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die! (Job 2:9). Perhaps, when you are passing through such distressing and adverse situations, your relatives, friends and those who are around you might have asked the same to you. Or the devil, who comes to kill, steal and destroy, may be challenging you with this question (John 10:10).
However, the Bible tells you, For surely there is an end, and your hope will not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18).
Will you say, You are the God of my salvation just like David said? (Psalm 25:5). Just as how he strengthened himself in the Lord and just as how Job did not lose his trust on the Lord, you too be steadfast in your faith. Surely, Gods plans will be fulfilled in your life. The world may fail you but God will rise in you to perform wonders and miracles in your life (Job 5:9; 9:10; Exodus 34:10). You are going to see miracles. So take courage and be happy! Your sorrow shall be turned into joy (John 16:20).
Prayer:
You are my living hope. I cast all my cares on You. I trust that You will surely solve all my problems. I believe in You, the living God. You triumphed over death on the Cross. Through Your resurrection, You have given me eternal hope. I have the full assurance of salvation and eternal life. Hence I will rejoice in hope.
In Your matchless name I pray.
Amen.
