JESUS, THE KING OF KINGS!
Paul Dhinakaran
My dearly Beloved,
Who in the world would want to trade a life that has the highest position, privilege and glory for someones filthy, sinful one? Everyone wants to live in comfort and joy with blessings showering over them all the time. But there was One who made himself nothing, took on the nature of a servant, forsook His glory to save the human race.
The Bible says in John 1:14, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father". Two thousand years ago, Mary, a virgin, by the power of the Holy Spirit conceived and gave birth to a young boy child. He grew up walking in the ways of the heavenly Father. He knew His purpose (to redeem mankind from sins) on Earth and worked to achieve it, accomplish it, and finished it on the cross. He returned to His heavenly abode but sent His Holy Spirit down; all this for a fallen human race. But who is He and where did He come from?
John, one of the twelve apostles, who was lonely, stranded on a island, all alone and dejected because he believed in Him, when he was taken up to heaven in his spirit describes Him so beautifully in Revelation 4:3-5: The countenance of the One whom He saw seated on a throne in heaven was beautiful like jasper and sardius. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. Day and night the four living creatures with six wings never stopped saying:
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.
Further, he says he saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb saying:
Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise! What a glorious sight!
Beloved, the One, who gave up His life for you and me that every darkness and torment of ours sins be removed from our lives forever, was a Glorious King in Heaven. But He gave it all up for you and me. Did He have to? No! He made the choice because He loved us and still does. Who is He then? Jesus is His name, the King Of kings and the Lord of lords. That is who He is.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the wonderful sacrifice that You made for us. You came from heaven to earth just so that I could get saved but I did not realize that is how much You love me. Thank You Lord for Your wonderful love. Father, I will never forget what You have done for me. Your shed Your blood and gave Your life for an unworthy person like me. How wonderful You are my Lord. I give my life to You Lord forever. Forgive me my sins and use me for Your glory for the rest of my Life. Thank You my Kings of Kings!
In Jesus name
Amen!
