PRAISING THE LORD ALWAYS!
Stella Dhinakaran
In many places in the Bible, we read that the God of gods is worthy to be praised, He is pleased in praises and inhabits in the praises. Yes, our Lord alone is worthy of our praises.
Once, when a devout mother was sleeping, she woke up on hearing a hissing sound beside her bed and opened her eyes to find a deadly snake poised to strike her. Instead of screaming in fear, she began to praise the Lord in tongues, filled with the Spirit of God. When she kept on praising, the snake slithered away from that place and disappeared.
in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name (Hebrews 13:15).
Even David, the Psalmist took delight in praising the Lord always saying, I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth (Psalm 34:1).
In the midst of his afflictions, he praised God in his life and also in the situation when he pretended madness before Abimelech who drove him away, David praised the Lord.
My dear ones, the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, is our hope and shield. Learn to praise Him with all your heart. When you thus praise Him, His glorious presence will come down and fill you. God will remove all the obstacles on your way. He will be a shield to you and will guide you wonderfully.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
You dwell among the praises of Your people. I glorify You. I offer my praises to You from the depth of my heart. Please fill me with Your presence and power. Set me free from my bondage and fill me with fullness of joy. Show me the path that leads to life. Like the Psalmist, help me always glorify Your name!
In Your matchless name I pray.
Amen.
