Lighted path
Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
Every time we get an invitation to conduct gospel meetings in various places, we fast and pray in solitude. We would entreat God and ask, “Oh Lord, let me know of the place and date we should go to next.” The Lord would guide us according to His plans. Immediately, we would write to the organizers of the meetings and they would arrange everything for us. This is the reason why ‘Jesus Calls’ meetings are well attended and the people are blessed in thousands. We have never travelled on our own to any place and made any arrangements for the meetings. The Bible says, “The humble He guides in justice and the humble He teaches His way” (Psalm 25:9). Only when God leads us, we do so accordingly and the Lord blesses the people to whom we minister.
We see in the Bible that even Peter listened to God and carried out the ministry knowing the will of God. That is why, even while he was preaching the word of God, the Holy Spirit descended and performed glorious acts. Thousands were saved in his sermon. The Psalmist says, "He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake" (Psalm 23:3). My friend, when you thus humble yourself and pray asking God to guide you in your life, He will lead you in right paths and teach you His ways. You will prosper in every step you take.

Whenever you are in crossroads of life, be sure that there is a living God who is your best guide. He will lead you into greener pastures and still waters. The Bible says that God is not a God of confusion but of peace. Today, you might be facing a crucial situation that demands your decision. Just pause for a moment. Take it to the Lord in prayer. He will guide you in a way that you would understand His way.
