More on the hilltop
Ms. Sharon Dhinakaran
As you travel towards hill stations, you would have felt a sudden change in the temperature as you move to the mountain top. An untold gentle cool breeze could have suddenly blown across your face. You would have admired the bends and the curves. You would have been enthralled at the rare flowers that passed by you. The enriched beauty of the nature would have enthralled you! You would have thought that there couldn’t be anything better than this. To your amazement, as you took turns further towards the top, you became speechless. Is it not true? Your eyes were delighted to see the clouds that whiffed across you very close by. The silver line of the waterfalls in the distant made you ask “Why has the Creator hid so much of beauty on the top?” As you climbed still above, you felt like bathing in the glory of the Creator. And you said to yourself, “The panoramic view is far superior to the feel that I had at the bottom of the mountain.” It made you forget the previous beautiful vision!
Beloved, when you accepted Christ as your personal Savior, you jumped with joy. You tasted miracle after miracle. You prayed for others. You were a channel of blessing. You received honor among your friends. Yes! You were the talk of the town. But, as years went by, you were stuck in the same curve just musing on the same old goodies that you received from your Savior. Certain things in your life made you tired not to move further. Your failures made you weary. Your loneliness marred the pathway. Your long wait made you feel like you have come to the dead-end. My friend, until you reach the hilltop, there is no dead-end!

Life in Christ is a journey to the hilltop. Today, I tell you that there are more surprises and gifts waiting for you. Throw off the dirt and continue your journey. The Bible says, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:18-19). Are you squirming in your lacks, unable to move forward? Here is a signboard which says, “I will make you prosper more than before” (Ezekiel 36:11). Yes, God has strewn better blessings along the way to the hilltop. Believe in this Word of God. Till you get bathed in His glorious wonders, keep walking the walk of faith.
