Paul says, “But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere” (2 Corinthians 2:14). God doesn’t make you victorious in only few things, instead He desires to cause you to be victorious in everything at all places. When would He cause you to be victorious? As you would unite yourself with His suffering and stay in fellowship with Him in doing His will, He would grant you victory in everything and make you to sit with Him on His throne. Jesus Christ is the best forerunner in this regard. As ordained by the Father, “the Son of Man suffered many things and was rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and He was killed and on the third day raised to life” (Luke 9:22) and fulfilled the will of the heavenly Father. Further we also read in the scripture,
“He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth” (Isaiah 53:7). What a great tolerance! That took Jesus Christ to the throne of His Father!
My father Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran was working in a bank when God called him to the ministry. Amidst his entire busy schedule, physical ailments and insults he fulfilled the call of God much faithfully according to the will of the heavenly Father. According to the Word, “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently” (Romans 8:25), he ran his race patiently on this earth, holding on to his faith and finally to be seated in the heavenly places. His whole life emanated the fragrance of Christ and was a blessing to millions.
Beloved, have you reached the peak of tolerance today? Do you feel weary to move on further? Are you dismayed because of the constantly rolling reproach over your name? Today, I encourage you today not to lose heart. Jesus is always with you. He will grant you strength to cross all hindrances and be victorious. The promise for today says, “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne.” (Revelation 3:21). A throne of victory awaits you.
Prayer:
Loving Father, cleanse me and fill me with obedience to Your will. Sculpt me to spread fragrance of knowledge of Christ at all times. Help me to be victorious in everything at all times. All things are possible for You, O Lord. Help me to run the race that You have ordained for me on this earth as per Your will. Grant me a victorious life and to be seated with You in the throne. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
