Stillness brings blessing
Mrs. Stella Dhinakaran
“Be still” means to wait at the feet of the Lord. It is to be careful in seeking the Lord. As you wait on the Lord, you receive the will of God in your heart and also the grace and strength to execute His will in your life.
Once, the head of the family from a particular family was admitted in the hospital. Doctors examined him and said, “He would not survive hereafter. Few more days are left with him. Take him home and make him happy.” He was taken home by his family members. Do you know what the family members did? They all knelt around his bed and with oneness of heart remained still in the presence of God. Together they prayed: “Lord Jesus, You are great. Let your healing power descend right now on your son. For him to live, You gave Yourself on the Cross.” Their one-minded prayers were heard in heaven. The man, who was in death-bed stood up and praised God. This is a true incident which happened! Even today, such miracles can happen in your life.

Beloved, do you love to wait on the Lord and seek His blessed will? Do you wish to receive His leading? As the Bible says, “Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10)” seek God and you shall live. Your heavenly Father will reveal His plans for your good and it will give you hope (Jeremiah 29:11). His goodness and mercy shall follow you all throughout your life (Psalm 23:6). All that you need to do is to wait in His presence, collecting all of your thoughts towards the One who created you! You will know God. And He would be more than enough as El-Shaddai for you.
